LUOM HD84 3.5mm headset splitter

The LUOM HD84 is a compact Y-splitter that lets you connect a single 3.5mm 4-position headset to separate headphone and microphone ports on a PC or laptop. It is designed for users who need to use a combined headset with older computers that provide distinct audio jacks. The 30 cm cable keeps the connection tidy at a desk or on the go.

Gold-plated contacts and flexible cable

Gold plating on the connectors resists corrosion and maintains signal quality over time. The aluminium alloy housing adds rigidity at the split point while the flexible cable withstands repeated bending. These materials ensure reliable audio and microphone transmission without adding bulk or stiffness.

Dual 3.5mm male plugs for separate ports

One 3.5mm female input accepts the headset, while two 3-position male outputs plug into the computer's dedicated audio and mic jacks. The adapter works with standard VOIP applications such as Skype or Google Voice. Note that the microphone function is not supported with Apple original earphones or Beats headphones.

Questions about this item

How do I plug the LUOM HD84 splitter into my PC and headset correctly?

Insert the single 3.5mm male plug into the combined audio port, then connect the headphone and microphone plugs into the separate green and pink jacks on the computer.

What upkeep does the gold-plated connector need over time?

Wipe the contacts occasionally with a dry cloth to remove dust; the gold plating resists corrosion so no further maintenance is required.

At what cable length does signal quality start to degrade on this 30 cm adapter?

The 30 cm length is well within the range where passive 3.5mm splitters maintain full stereo quality without noticeable loss.
