LUOM T001A 6 ft Toslink Cable

The LUOM T001A is a 6 ft Toslink digital optical audio cable designed for short-range signal transmission between devices with S/PDIF ports. It connects sound bars, home theatre systems, TVs, gaming consoles such as PS4 and Xbox, DVD players and other audio equipment. The male-to-male cable supports uncompressed PCM audio and compressed 5.1, 6.1 and 7.1 surround sound formats including Dolby Digital Plus, DTS-HD, ADAT and LPCM.

Installation and Common Issues

The cable features precision-designed square connectors with 24K gold-plated contacts that make the insertion angle easy to identify and ensure a tight fit. A flexible PVC jacket and double braided nylon shell protect the fiber core during routing. The most common issue is removing the protective caps from both connector tips before use; forgetting them prevents the cable from seating fully and results in no signal.

Sustained Signal Behaviour

High-precision concentrated fiber lens technology keeps the optical beam highly focused, which reduces internal reflection and maintains lossless transmission over the full 6 ft length. The 24K gold-plated connectors resist corrosion so conductivity does not degrade over time, and the aluminum alloy shell with OD 2.2/5.0 mm wire construction shields the fiber from physical stress during long-term use.

Questions about this item

How do I confirm the cable is passing Dolby AC-3 or DTS 5.1 surround sound after connecting it?

Check your receiver or sound bar display for the Dolby or DTS indicator and listen for discrete channels in a 5.1 test track.

What comes in the package and is anything else required for a TV-to-sound-bar hookup?

The box contains the 6 ft Toslink cable with 24K gold-plated male-to-male connectors; no extra adapters are needed if both devices have standard optical ports.

Should I choose a different length or connector style for a PS4-to-receiver run?

This model is a fixed 6 ft male-to-male cable; select a longer or shorter version only if the 6 ft reach does not suit your equipment spacing.
