LUOM T001A 16 ft Optical Audio Cable

The LUOM T001A is a 16 ft Toslink digital optical audio cable with male-to-male connectors. It uses a fiber core inside a 2.2 mm and 5.0 mm outer diameter jacket wrapped in double braided nylon. The 24K gold-plated plugs resist corrosion and maintain conductivity. It carries uncompressed PCM and compressed 5.1 to 7.1 surround formats such as Dolby Digital Plus and DTS-HD.

Ideal for Connecting Sound Bars and Consoles

This cable suits anyone linking a sound bar, home theatre receiver, TV, PS4 or Xbox through standard Toslink ports. The precision square connector helps alignment during installation. It is not for buyers who need coaxial electrical S/PDIF or analogue RCA connections. It also does not serve runs that require HDMI or proprietary multi-pin interfaces.

Fiber Core with Gold-Plated Toslink Plugs

The single specification that decides fit is the Toslink male-to-male interface on a 16 ft fiber run. Verify that both source and destination have square optical ports before purchase.

Questions about this item

What audio formats does the Toslink interface on this cable support?

The cable carries uncompressed PCM and compressed 5.1, 6.1 and 7.1 surround sound including Dolby AC-3, DTS, Dolby Digital Plus, DTS-HD, ADAT and LPCM.

What are the connector dimensions and cable thickness?

The cable has a 2.2 mm inner core and a 5.0 mm outer diameter with slim metal-shell connectors that fit standard square Toslink ports.

How do I install the cable without damaging the tips?

Remove the protective caps, align the squared connector with the port's notch, and insert straight in — forcing it at an angle can bend the internal fiber lens.
