Two-source HDMI 2.1 switch

The LUOM TJ-A002 is an HDMI 2.1 switch that routes two HDMI sources to a single display. It suits owners of consoles, streaming boxes or PCs who need to share one screen without swapping cables. The unit is powered through an included USB-A-to-Micro-B cable. Pressing the button on the enclosure changes the active input in about one second.

Bandwidth and resolution ceiling

The switch passes signals up to 48 Gbps and supports a maximum resolution of 4096 x 2160 at 60 Hz or 4K at 120 Hz. Full 8K at 60 Hz requires an HDMI 2.1-rated cable on every link. The path is unidirectional: two inputs to one output only, so it cannot drive two displays from a single source.

Compact aluminium enclosure

The aluminium-alloy housing measures 70 x 51 x 13 mm and weighs 60 g, so it fits behind a TV or on a desk without crowding other ports. Two sources connect comfortably; a third source would require a different switch. The single output limits the setup to one display at a time.

How does the HDMI 2.1 interface limit resolution and refresh rate?

The HDMI 2.1 port caps output at 4096×2160 resolution and supports 8K 60Hz or 4K 120Hz within the 48Gbps limit.
