LUOM TJ-A077 100 ft DisplayPort 1.4 fiber cable

This 100 ft DisplayPort 1.4 fiber optic cable connects PCs, laptops or graphics cards to monitors, projectors and HDTVs. It uses a hybrid glass-fibre and copper construction with 24K gold-plated connectors and a wear-resistant TPE jacket. The slim, flexible design suits in-wall runs and confined spaces where copper cables are impractical. The cable is certified for Windows Vista and carries HDCP 2.2 support.

Signal integrity over 100 ft

Four-core optical fibres deliver stable, high-speed transmission at up to 32.4 Gbps without the signal loss typical of long copper runs. The aluminium-alloy shell and anti-bend design protect the smart chip and connectors from physical stress. Gold-plated contacts resist corrosion for long-term reliability. No external power is required at either end.

Bandwidth ceiling for resolution and refresh

The single specification that decides suitability is the 32.4 Gbps bandwidth limit of the DisplayPort 1.4 link. It supports 8K at 60 Hz (7680 × 4320), 4K at 144 Hz, 4K at 240 Hz with DSC 1.2, and lower resolutions such as 3440 × 1440 at 60 Hz and 2550 × 1440 at 60 Hz. Both source and display must support the target resolution and refresh rate; the cable cannot add capability the endpoints lack.

Questions about this item

How do I install this 100 ft DisplayPort 1.4 fiber cable and which end goes to the source?

Connect the end marked Source to your graphics card or laptop and the end marked Display to the monitor or projector; the hybrid glass‑fiber plus copper construction carries the 32.4 Gbps signal without external power.

What maintenance or replacement will this LUOM TJ‑A077 cable need over time?

The 24K gold‑plated connectors and TPE jacket resist corrosion and wear, while the zinc‑alloy shell protects the smart chip; no user‑serviceable parts exist, so replacement is only needed if the cable is physically damaged.

What is the first limit I will hit when running 8K at 60 Hz continuously over 100 ft?

The cable is rated for the full DisplayPort 1.4 bandwidth of 32.4 Gbps at 100 ft, so the practical limit is the source device’s DSC 1.2 implementation or HDCP 2.2 handshake stability rather than the cable itself.
