What this cable does

This LUOM USB4 cable connects two USB-C devices at up to 40 Gbps data transfer, delivers up to 240 W of power at 48 V and 5 A, and drives a single display at 8K 60 Hz or 4K 144 Hz. It also supports dual 4K output when two cables are used. Lab testing rates the cable for 5,000 bend cycles. It works with Thunderbolt 3 and Thunderbolt 4 hosts.

Who it suits and who it does not

Creators moving large video files, professionals driving high-resolution monitors, and users charging laptops up to 240 W will benefit. Buyers who need longer reach than the supplied length, or who require angled connectors for tight spaces, should look at something else. The cable does not add ports or hub functionality.

The deciding specification

The single figure that decides fit is the 40 Gbps maximum data rate combined with 240 W power delivery; if your workflow needs that bandwidth and charging headroom, this cable matches it.
