Scaffold Crossbrace 84in Length

The Metaltech M-MC4884 is a steel crossbrace designed to connect scaffold frames at an 84in span with a 48in height. It suits contractors and DIY builders who need rigid diagonal bracing for temporary work platforms.

Sustained Load Behaviour

The brace distributes lateral forces evenly across the scaffold tower during extended use on site. Its fixed 84in length and 48in height maintain structural geometry without relying on adjustable pins that can loosen over time.

Installation Notes

The brace slides into standard frame cups and locks with gravity pins for quick assembly. Misaligned frames or bent cups are the usual cause of fitment issues, so check frame squareness before forcing the brace into place.

Questions about this item

How much heat or noise does the M-MC4884 crossbrace generate when left in place all day?

The crossbrace is a passive steel component with no moving parts, so it produces no heat and no noise during continuous use.

What existing scaffold frames or pins must I already own to install the 84 in by 48 in crossbrace?

You need compatible scaffold frames spaced 84 in apart with matching pin holes to accept the crossbrace ends.

Will the 2 in wide crossbrace ends fit the pin spacing on older Metaltech frames I already keep?

The brace ends are 2 in wide, so they will engage any frame pins designed for that width regardless of frame age.
