Materials and Protection Limits

The cover uses PU leather on the outside, a soft microfiber lining and a translucent hard PC back shell. This combination guards against daily wear, minor shocks and scratches. It does not offer ruggedised drop protection or water resistance, so users who need heavy-duty shielding should look elsewhere.

Stand, Pencil and Wake Functions

A tri-fold magnetic front cover creates two stable viewing angles for typing or watching. Precise cutouts allow Touch ID use and support charging for both 1st-generation and USB-C Apple Pencil (adapter required for 1st gen). Built-in magnets trigger auto wake and sleep when the cover opens or closes.

Open the cover and the screen should light up instantly; close the cover and the iPad should lock and go dark.
