Connect mono source to stereo system

This 0.1524 m cable connects a single mono RCA output to a pair of female RCA jacks for stereo input. It suits audio installers, home-theatre owners or anyone adapting legacy mono gear to modern stereo equipment. The short length keeps cable runs tidy behind racks or inside equipment cabinets. Model 100663 carries Monoprice lifetime warranty.

Splitter-only design prevents equipment damage

The cable functions strictly as a splitter from one male mono plug to two female stereo sockets. Using it in reverse to combine two stereo channels into one mono signal can damage source equipment. A proper mixing board is required for signal combining instead of passive wiring.

Passive construction needs no power

No external supply or active electronics are involved, so the cable draws zero power and generates no heat or noise. Molded connector housings and strain-relief boots protect the solder joints during repeated insertion and removal cycles. The black PVC jacket resists abrasion in tight routing spaces.

Questions about this item

What does the 0.1524 m length mean for placement in a real system?

The 0.1524 m cable spans roughly six inches, so the mono source and stereo input must sit very close together or you will need an extension.

How does the RCA interface affect signal routing with this splitter?

The single male RCA plug carries a mono signal that is duplicated to both female RCA jacks, giving identical left and right channels without any active mixing.

What physical space do the molded housings and strain relief boots need to fit?

Each female jack has a molded housing and strain relief boot, so allow extra clearance behind the panel or chassis for the bulkier connectors.
