15 ft XLR to RCA Interconnect

This 15 ft cable converts a balanced XLR signal to an unbalanced RCA signal for audio connections between professional and consumer equipment. It carries a male XLR connector on one end and a female RCA connector on the other, wired with the standard pinout. The cable is built with two 16 AWG oxygen-free copper conductors in a twisted-pair layout. Gold-plated contacts resist corrosion for long-term reliability.

16 AWG Oxygen-Free Copper Conductors

The single specification that determines suitability is the 16 AWG oxygen-free copper construction, which sets the cable’s resistance and signal integrity over the 15 ft run. Two conductors are arranged as a twisted pair to reduce electromagnetic interference. Full-length copper braid shielding provides 97.5 percent coverage to reject noise. The standard pinout ties XLR pins 1 and 3 to the RCA shield and pin 2 to the tip.

Passive Analogue Cable — No Power Draw

As a passive analogue interconnect, the cable draws no power and generates no heat or noise during normal use. Gold-plated connectors maintain low contact resistance without active components. The braided shield and twisted-pair geometry keep induced hum and radio-frequency interference to a minimum. There are no electronics, fans or power requirements to consider.

Questions about this item

Will the 15 ft length reach my mixer from the stage?

At 15 ft (4.572 m) the cable spans a typical home-studio or small-venue run; coil any slack loosely to avoid stress on the plugs.

Does the 97.5 % braid shield stop hum from lighting dimmers?

The copper braid covers 97.5 % of the twisted-pair conductors, giving strong rejection of RF and mains noise in unbalanced RCA connections.

How much rack depth do the XLR and RCA plugs need?

Both connectors are standard barrel types; allow enough rear clearance for the plug body plus a gentle cable bend so the jack isn't levered sideways.
