25 ft 3.5 mm to 2 RCA cable

This 25 ft stereo cable connects a 3.5 mm source such as a phone or MP3 player to the RCA inputs on a home amplifier or receiver. Each conductor uses 22 AWG heavy-duty coaxial construction with shielding against EMI and RFI interference. The overall cable measures 12 mm by 6 mm and the connector housings are 41 mm long by 15 mm diameter. Because of their size and weight the cables are best suited for more permanent connections.

Straightforward plug-and-play installation

No drivers or configuration are required; simply insert the 3.5 mm plug into the source device and the two RCA plugs into the corresponding left and right inputs. The large connector housings and thick cable can make tight rear-panel access difficult and may strain shallow sockets if forced. Routing the 25 ft length through furniture or along baseboards takes time and the weight can pull on lighter equipment if not supported.

Fixed-location analog audio hookup

Suits users who need a long, shielded run between a portable player or PC and a stationary stereo system. Not suited for portable use, frequent reconnection, or situations where a slimmer, lighter cable is required. Buyers needing digital audio transmission, balanced connections, or shorter lengths for mobile devices should look at something else.

Questions about this item

How can I verify the 3.5mm-to-2RCA cable is working correctly after connecting it?

Plug the 3.5mm end into your phone or MP3 player and the two RCA plugs into your amplifier inputs, then play audio; sound should come through both left and right channels without hum or static.

What comes in the box with the Monoprice 105601 and what must I purchase separately?

The package contains only the 25 ft 22AWG stereo cable with a 3.5mm male plug and two RCA male plugs; no adapters or extra cables are included.

Which version of this cable should I choose for a permanent PC-to-receiver installation?

The 25 ft 22AWG coaxial construction with 12 mm × 6 mm jacket and 41 mm × 15 mm connector housings is designed for fixed home-audio runs rather than portable use.
