Splits one HDMI source to two displays with 4K at 30 Hz, 1080p at 120 Hz and 48-bit Deep Color support
The Monoprice 115379 Blackbird takes a single HDMI source and duplicates the signal to two displays. It suits installers or home users who need the same 4K@30Hz or 1080p@120Hz image on a projector and a monitor simultaneously. HDCP 1.4 compliance keeps protected content flowing without handshake errors.
Verify that the source device outputs a resolution the splitter accepts, such as 4K at 30 Hz or 1080p at 120 Hz. Both connected displays must support the chosen resolution and refresh rate, otherwise the splitter will default to the lowest common capability. Use HDMI cables rated for the required TMDS clock up to 297 MHz to avoid signal loss.
The unit weighs 0.54 kg and houses its circuitry in a sturdy black metal chassis that resists RF interference. Two HDMI output ports sit side by side on one face, while the single input and a DC power jack sit on the opposite face, so cables run in opposite directions. This layout keeps rack or desk routing tidy but requires enough clearance behind the device for the power adapter.
