Professional audio interconnect

The Monoprice 4772 is a 25ft cable built for studio, stage and home entertainment setups. It carries balanced signals between XLR female and 1/4inch TRS male connectors using 16AWG conductors. The construction targets broadcast gear, instruments and high-end audio systems alike.

Thermals noise and power draw

As a passive analogue cable it generates no heat and draws no power during normal use. The gold-plated contacts maintain low resistance without active cooling. Operation is completely silent because no electronic components are present.

Bundled accessories and software

No software, adapters or additional accessories are included in the package. The lifetime warranty supplied by Monoprice is the only bundled benefit. Buyers needing right-angle plugs, cable ties or signal-processing software must source those separately.

Questions about this item

How do I connect the XLR female end to my microphone and avoid the loose-fit mistake?

Push the XLR female connector onto the microphone's male XLR until the latch clicks; the 16 AWG cable's weight can pull it loose if the latch is not fully seated.

Will the gold-plated contacts need cleaning or replacement over time?

Gold plating resists oxidation, so the contacts should not need cleaning; the cable itself has no user-serviceable parts and is covered by a lifetime warranty.

At what length does signal loss become noticeable on this 25 ft run?

The 16 AWG conductors keep resistance low; for balanced audio the 25 ft length is well within the range where level drop is negligible.
