Compact business desktop with 20-core i7-14700

The MSI PRO DP21 packs an Intel Core i7-14700 processor with 20 cores and 28 threads into a mini-PC chassis. Base frequency is 2.1 GHz and maximum turbo reaches 5.4 GHz. It ships with 64GB of DDR5 5600 memory and a 2TB NVMe SSD. Windows 11 Pro, a USB keyboard and a USB mouse are included.

Sustained workloads on 200 W power supply

The 200 W internal supply feeds the CPU, integrated Intel UHD 770 graphics, memory and storage without an external brick. Under continuous multi-threaded load the 20-core processor maintains elevated clocks within the thermal envelope of the small form factor. The 64GB DDR5 5600 configuration avoids swapping during heavy multitasking or large dataset work. Gigabit Ethernet and Wi-Fi 6E keep network throughput stable during long transfers.

Thermal balance and quiet operation

The compact enclosure measures 8.03 x 8.19 x 2.16 inches and weighs 3.35 lbs, so airflow paths are short. Fan speed ramps gradually as the i7-14700 and UHD 770 generate heat, keeping acoustics low during typical office tasks. Power draw stays within the 200 W budget even at 5.4 GHz boost. The system runs cool enough for desk-side placement without disruptive noise.

Questions about this item

How much power does the 200 W supply draw when the i7-14700 runs at 5.4 GHz all day?

The unit ships with a 200 W power supply; the processor has a 2.1 GHz base and 5.4 GHz boost clock with 20 cores and 28 threads, so sustained load will stay within that budget.

Does the box include a monitor or must I supply my own display for the HDMI and DisplayPort outputs?

No monitor is included; the system provides one HDMI and one DisplayPort connector for your existing screen.

Can I keep using my USB 2.0 peripherals alongside the 2× USB-C 3.2 and 2× USB-A 3.2 ports?

Yes, the chassis also has four USB-A 2.0 ports so older keyboards, mice or drives work without adapters.
