Questions about this item

How often will the porcelain coating on this 153/16" x 57/16" heat plate need replacement?

The porcelain-coated steel resists rust and corrosion; replace the plate only if the coating chips, cracks or the steel underneath begins to rust.

What is the first limit you hit when running this heat plate under sustained high heat?

The plate shields the burner from drippings, so the practical limit is grease buildup that can cause flare-ups if not cleaned regularly.

How much extra heat does this 93031 plate radiate into the grill cabinet during all-day cooking?

It sits directly above the burner to improve heat retention and distribution across the cooking surface rather than radiating heat into the cabinet.
