6U Wall-Mount Cabinet for Network Gear

The NavePoint 6U enclosure mounts on a wall or stands alone, providing 16.5 inches of usable depth for switches, patch panels and small servers. A perforated front door and vented side panels keep airflow moving through the rack. A fixed component shelf is included and the unit ships fully assembled.

200 lb Limit and Fixed 16.5" Depth

The cabinet is rated for 200 pounds of equipment, so the combined weight of installed devices must stay below that figure. Depth cannot be adjusted beyond the 16.5 inch interior, which limits the length of hardware that can be mounted. Side panels lock for security but do not add extra internal space.

Check Wall Strength and Clearance Before Ordering

Verify that the mounting surface can support the loaded cabinet and that studs or anchors align with the rack’s mounting pattern. Measure the installation area to confirm the 23.63 inch width and 17.75 inch overall depth fit without blocking walkways or other equipment. Ensure the 14.63 inch height suits the chosen location.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 6U, 9U, 12U, 15U or 18U version?

The 6U model gives 14.63 inches of internal height; the 9U, 12U, 15U and 18U versions add proportionally more vertical space while keeping the same 16.5-inch usable depth.

What does the 200-pound weight capacity mean for my installed gear?

You can load up to 200 lb of switches, servers or patch panels across the included shelf and the 6U mounting rails without exceeding the cabinet's rated limit.

How does the 16.5-inch depth limit what equipment fits?

Only devices shallower than 16.5 inches — typical network switches, shallow servers or patch panels — will mount; deeper rack-mount chassis will not fit.
