Connects two USB Type A ports over 300 cm with USB 2.0 speeds and USB 1.1 backward compatibility
This three-metre cable carries a USB 2.0 signal between two standard Type-A ports. It is built for linking a PC or Mac to an external device that presents a Type-A male socket. The black jacket and four-pin connectors match the USB 2.0 specification.
A longer run is worthwhile when the peripheral sits farther from the host than a standard lead allows. The cable restores full USB 2.0 throughput where an older or frayed cord has become unreliable.
The link comfortably carries bulk, interrupt and isochronous transfers at high-speed rates. It runs out of bandwidth for any device that requires SuperSpeed or higher signalling.

It has a USB Type A male plug on each end, so it links two USB Type A female sockets.
Align the metal tongue inside each USB Type A male plug with the socket, then push straight in until it seats; forcing it at an angle bends the pins.
Replace it if the plugs become loose, the sheath is cut, or data transfer drops to USB 1.1 speeds despite a good port.
