Active HDMI-to-VGA converter with audio

This active adapter converts a digital HDMI signal to analogue VGA while extracting stereo audio to a 3.5 mm jack. It is aimed at anyone connecting a laptop, desktop, ultrabook or similar HDMI source to a VGA monitor, projector or older display. The dongle-style housing keeps the installation compact and reduces strain on the source port.

Directional conversion limited to 1080p60

The device only works from an HDMI source to a VGA display; it cannot drive an HDMI screen from a VGA output. Supported input formats are 480p, 576p, 720p and 1080p at 50 or 60 Hz, with a maximum bandwidth of 165 MHz or 1.65 Gbps per channel. Analogue output reaches WUXGA and 1080p through a 10-bit DAC.

USB power cable included for reliable operation

A 3.3 ft USB-to-Micro-USB cable supplies the power the active circuitry needs, so the converter functions even when the HDMI port provides limited current. The package also includes a 3.3 ft 3.5 mm stereo audio cable for immediate connection to speakers or headphones. No software or drivers are required.
