Fully Rugged 2-in-1 10.1" Tablet

The Panasonic Toughbook CF-20 is a fully rugged, detachable 2-in-1 that converts from laptop to 10.1-inch tablet with one hand. It features a magnesium alloy chassis certified to MIL-STD-810G, MIL-STD-461F and IP65 standards for drop, shock, vibration, dust and water resistance. A built-in handle doubles as a kickstand for flexible field use. The unit ships new with Windows 10 Pro, a digitizer pen and power adapter included.

Field Workers Needing LTE and Touch

This device suits mobile professionals who require a sunlight-readable multi-touch display with gloved-hand and digitizer support plus integrated 4G LTE Multi Carrier FirstNet connectivity. The single-core Intel Core m5-6Y57 processor and 16 GB soldered memory limit performance to lightweight applications and web-based workflows. Buyers who need higher multi-threaded compute power, user-upgradable RAM or a larger screen for detailed CAD work should consider other platforms.

Single-Core m5-6Y57 with 16 GB Soldered RAM

The processor is a single-core Intel Core m5-6Y57 running at 1.1 GHz with Intel HD Graphics 515, paired with 16 GB of non-upgradable memory. This combination determines the realistic workload ceiling for the device. Verify that your target software runs adequately on a single-core, low-power architecture before purchase.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 128 GB SSD with 16 GB RAM or a different capacity for field work?

This unit ships with a fixed 128 GB solid-state drive and 16 GB of memory, which is also the maximum the platform supports. There is no larger factory option on this SKU.

How does the 1.1 GHz Core m5-6Y57 perform inside a rugged 2-in-1?

The dual-core 1.1 GHz processor and Intel HD Graphics 515 handle Windows 10 Pro, office apps and light imaging without active cooling, while the magnesium chassis meets MIL-STD-810G and IP65 for drops, dust and water jets.

What real-world speed does the 4G LTE Multi Carrier FirstNet EM7511 Band 14 modem deliver?

The EM7511 supports LTE Category 16 with carrier aggregation and Band 14 priority access, so throughput depends on local tower load and signal quality rather than a single fixed ceiling.
