Fully Rugged 13.1-inch Touch Laptop

The Panasonic Toughbook CF-31 is a fully rugged laptop built to MIL-STD-810G and IP65 standards for reliable operation in harsh field environments. It runs Windows 10 Pro on a 2.60GHz Intel Core i5 processor with 8GB of DDR3 memory. The 13.1-inch sunlight-viewable XGA touchscreen supports digitizer pen input for precise data capture outdoors.

Single-Core i5 Processor Decides Suitability

The processor is a single-core 2.60GHz Intel Core i5 (MK3), which limits multitasking throughput compared to multi-core designs. This specification determines whether the unit suits lightweight field applications such as data logging, mapping or form entry rather than heavy compute workloads. Buyers needing parallel processing performance should consider other platforms.

Integrated 4G LTE and GPS for Mobile Deployment

Verizon 4G LTE and a GPS receiver are built in, so the laptop connects to cellular networks and provides location data without external dongles. The package includes the digitizer pen and power adapter for immediate deployment. The 500GB hard drive and 8GB DDR3 memory are user-accessible for upgrades or replacement.

Questions about this item

How does the 2.6 GHz i5 processor perform in everyday tasks?

The single-core 2.6 GHz Intel Core i5 handles office applications and web browsing smoothly, with 8 GB of DDR3 800 memory providing enough headroom for typical multitasking.

What wired network speed does the 10/100/1000 Mbps LAN port actually deliver?

The Gigabit Ethernet port caps at 1000 Mbps, so large file transfers over a wired link are limited to that throughput.

Will the 13.1-inch touchscreen fit in a standard rugged laptop mount?

The 13.1-inch XGA display with 1024 x 768 resolution matches the CF-31 chassis dimensions used across six generations of docking hardware.
