What this Toughbook CF-54 delivers

The Panasonic Toughbook CF-54 is a new 14.0-inch rugged laptop with a 1366 x 768 HD non-touch display. It runs Windows 10 Pro on an Intel Core i5-5300U processor at 2.3 GHz with 8 GB of memory and a 2 TB SSD. Integrated 4G LTE, GPS, a smartcard reader and a fingerprint reader are built in, and a digitizer pen is included.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

Field workers and mobile professionals who need MIL-STD-810G, MIL-STD-461F and IP65 durability with WWAN connectivity will match this spec. Buyers who want a touchscreen, a higher-resolution panel or more than 8 GB of memory should look elsewhere. The single-core processor also limits heavy multitasking workloads.

What to verify on your current setup

Confirm that your peripherals work with the available USB ports and that 802.11a/b/g/n wireless plus Bluetooth 4.1 meet your network needs. The system supports up to 16 GB of memory if you plan an upgrade. Ensure any required software is compatible with Windows 10 Pro before ordering.
