Rugged 14-inch touchscreen laptop

The Panasonic Toughbook CF-54 is a semi-rugged notebook built for field workers, emergency services and mobile technicians who need a durable Windows 10 Pro device. Its MIL-STD-810G, MIL-STD-461F and IP65 certifications confirm resistance to drops, vibration, dust and water jets. Integrated GPS, a smartcard reader and a fingerprint sensor support secure authentication and location tracking on the move.

Upgrade from older rugged portables

Replacing a legacy rugged laptop that lacks a multi-touch 1920 x 1080 display or modern wireless connectivity justifies the switch. The jump is worth it when workflows demand a digitiser pen for signatures or schematics, or when Bluetooth 4.1 and 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi are required for current peripherals. Units still running mechanical hard drives or lower-resolution screens see the clearest benefit.

16 GB memory and 256 GB SSD headroom

The soldered 16 GB RAM ceiling handles office suites, browser-based tools and remote desktop sessions without paging. The 256 GB solid-state drive accommodates the operating system, offline maps and local case files with room to spare. Intensive tasks such as video editing, large database work or virtual machines will exhaust both memory and storage headroom quickly.

How do I insert the digitizer pen and where does it store when not in use?

The pen works directly on the multi-touch display; no separate slot is mentioned in the specifications.

Which components are user-replaceable after the MIL-STD-810G and IP65 seals are closed?
