Fully rugged 2-in-1 with detachable tablet

The Panasonic Toughbook CF-20 is a fully rugged 2-in-1 laptop that detaches into a 10.1-inch tablet. It runs Windows 10 Pro on an Intel Core m5-6Y57 processor at 1.1 GHz with 16GB of memory and a 500GB SSD. The display is a multi-touch WUXGA panel at 1920 x 1200 resolution with digitiser pen support. It carries MIL-STD-810G, MIL-STD-461F and IP65 certifications for drops, shock, vibration, dust and water jets.

Field workers needing one-handed detachment

This unit suits mobile professionals who need a rugged laptop that converts to a tablet in one hand. The integrated handle doubles as a kickstand for hands-free viewing on site. Buyers who need a larger screen, higher CPU core counts or dedicated graphics for intensive rendering should look at something else. The single-core processor and integrated Intel HD Graphics 515 limit heavy multitasking and 3D workloads.

16GB soldered memory ceiling

The system ships with 16GB of memory and the manufacturer lists 16GB as the maximum supported capacity. There is no upgrade path beyond this figure, so the installed amount is fixed for the life of the device. If your workflow requires more memory headroom, this specification makes the CF-20 unsuitable.
