Panasonic Toughbook CF-54 rugged laptop

The Panasonic Toughbook CF-54 is a new 14-inch rugged laptop built to MIL-STD-810G, MIL-STD-461F and IP65 standards. It runs Windows 10 Pro on an Intel Core i5-5300U processor at 2.3 GHz with 8GB of memory and a 128GB SSD. The HD multi-touch display resolves at 1920 x 1080 and includes a digitizer pen. Integrated 4G LTE, GPS, a smartcard reader and a fingerprint reader support mobile field work.

Field workers needing certified durability

This unit suits professionals who require a laptop that survives drops, vibration, dust and water jets while providing built-in 4G LTE, GPS and smartcard authentication. The single-core processor and 8GB memory limit heavy multitasking or modern creative workloads. Buyers who need more than 16GB of memory, a higher-resolution panel or a discrete GPU should look elsewhere.

128GB SSD capacity determines storage headroom

The factory-installed 128GB SSD sets the baseline for local data, applications and the operating system. With only 128GB available, users handling large datasets, media libraries or multiple virtual machines will need external storage or a drive upgrade. Verify that this capacity matches your deployment image and field-data requirements before purchase.
