Processor and graphics for mid-range gaming

This PRC X-FORCE desktop pairs an Intel Core i7-9700 3.0GHz 8-Core processor with an Intel Arc A770 16GB GDDR6 graphics card. Sixteen gigabytes of DDR4 memory and a 1TB 2.5-inch solid-state drive provide the capacity for current titles. The system ships with Windows 10 Home installed.

Thermals noise and power draw

A 120m CPU air cooler handles processor heat while the 750W 80+ GOLD power supply delivers efficient energy conversion. Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11AC Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0 manage connectivity without adding significant thermal load. Integrated audio keeps the internal component count low.

Build integration and expansion

The LGA 1151 system board and DIMM 288-pin memory slots define the upgrade path for this platform. A 750W power supply offers headroom for additional storage or peripherals. Buyers who want more storage bays or a second graphics card will need a different chassis. No optical drive is included, freeing the external 5.25-inch bay for other uses.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 120m CPU air cooler onto the LGA 1151 system board, and what step is often missed?

Mount the cooler using the supplied brackets aligned with the LGA 1151 socket holes, apply thermal paste evenly on the i7-9700 heat spreader, then secure the fan header to the CPU_FAN pin — the step often missed is plugging the fan into the correct header so the BIOS can control speed.

Which components in this PRC X-FORCE Special Edition will need maintenance or replacement first?

The 120m CPU air cooler fan bearings and dust filters need periodic cleaning; the 750W 80+ GOLD power supply capacitors age after several years; the 1TB 2.5" SSD has a finite write endurance, so plan replacement when health monitoring tools report wear.

What limit appears first when the Intel Arc A770 16GB GDDR6 runs sustained heavy workloads?

The 120m air cooler's thermal capacity saturates before the 750W power supply hits its 750W ceiling, causing the i7-9700 to throttle from its 4.70GHz max turbo down toward the 3.0GHz base clock under prolonged load.
