Volkswagen Passat Variant Compatibility

The Pro Star USB CD player is designed for 2019 to 2026 Volkswagen Passat Variant models that left the factory without a built-in disc drive. It connects directly to the vehicle's USB port and integrates with the existing CarPlay interface so the factory radio or steering-wheel buttons control playback.

Sustained Disc Reading Behaviour

After a disc is inserted the unit indexes the contents for about two minutes before the audio becomes available through the car's system. Interrupting this process requires restarting the procedure with a different disc, so the player is intended for uninterrupted reading sessions rather than rapid disc swapping.

Thermals Noise and Power Draw

The device draws all its power from the car's USB socket and contains no internal fan, so it adds negligible load to the vehicle electrical system and produces no audible mechanical noise during operation. It can be mounted vertically or horizontally on the centre console or in the glove box without thermal concerns.
