Add-On CD Player for Lincoln MKS

This Pro Star USB CD player adds disc playback to 2019 through 2026 Lincoln MKS models that lack a factory CD drive. It connects directly to the vehicle's USB port and draws power from that same connection. The unit is designed for drivers who still want to listen to their existing CD collections through the car's original audio system.

USB Interface and Indexing Requirement

The device relies entirely on the car's USB port for both data and power, so it will not function if the port is damaged or provides insufficient current. A mandatory two-minute indexing period occurs after a disc is inserted; interrupting this process forces the user to restart the entire setup with a different disc and follow the printed instructions from step one again.

Plug-and-Play Mounting and Common Pitfalls

Installation requires no wiring or tools beyond plugging the cable into the USB port, and the player can be positioned vertically or horizontally on the centre console, in the glove box, or wherever the cable reaches. The most frequent issue is skipping the indexing wait time, which causes the system to reject the disc and require a full reinstallation sequence.
