8-Channel 12MP PoE Surveillance Kit

This Reolink system pairs an 8-channel network video recorder with four 12-megapixel IP dome cameras. Power-over-Ethernet delivers data and electricity through a single cable, simplifying installation for homes or small businesses that want high-resolution monitoring without separate power runs.

2TB Recorder Expandable to 12TB

The included 2TB hard drive stores continuous 24-7 footage from all connected cameras. Internal capacity can grow to 12TB when longer retention or higher bit-rates are required, giving headroom before an external archive becomes necessary.

PoE Infrastructure and App Ecosystem

Cameras connect directly to the NVR's built-in PoE ports or to any IEEE 802.3af switch for flexible cabling. Full smart detection, two-way talk and timelapse features operate through the Reolink app and client; third-party platforms such as Blue Iris or Synology are supported but with limited function parity.

Questions about this item

Will the 8-channel NVR work with my existing PoE cameras that only support 1080p resolution?

The NVR accepts up to eight PoE camera inputs and records at 12 megapixels, so lower-resolution cameras will connect and record at their own native quality.

How can I verify the person, vehicle and pet detection is actually triggering recordings on the NVR?

After setup, open the Reolink App or Client, review the playback timeline and look for the coloured event markers that correspond to each detection type.

Does the kit include Ethernet cables for the four RLC-1224A cameras, or do I need to buy them separately?

The box contains the 8-channel NVR with a pre-installed 2 TB hard drive, four RLC-1224A dome cameras with integrated spotlights and the NVR power supply; Ethernet cables are not included.
