Questions about this item

How do I install the 12MP dome cameras and NVR, and what step is often missed?

Connect each camera to the NVR using Ethernet cables; the PoE ports supply power and data. The step often missed is verifying all 16 channels are enabled in the NVR settings before mounting the 8 included cameras.

What maintenance will the 4TB HDD and cameras need over time?

The 4TB HDD inside the 16-channel NVR may need replacement after several years of continuous 12MP recording. Clean the dome camera lenses and spotlight covers periodically to maintain full-color night vision clarity.

What limit appears first during sustained 12MP recording on the 4TB drive?

The 4TB HDD fills first; at 12MP resolution with H.265 compression, 265 days of footage from 8 cameras can exceed capacity before any other system limit is reached.
