Panel-mount N-type female RF connector with solder termination and 50 Ohm impedance for coaxial cable applications
The Ruth's sister N-KFD-5 is a nickel-plated N-type female jack designed for panel mounting in RF coaxial systems. It suits engineers and technicians building or repairing antenna, broadcast, radio, Wi-Fi, telecom or CCTV installations that require a 50 Ohm interface. The solder-termination body provides a secure connection for compatible coaxial cables or devices. Buyers needing a male plug, a different impedance or a push-on connector will not find it here.
As a passive coaxial connector the N-KFD-5 draws no power and generates no heat or audible noise during operation. Its copper construction maintains consistent 50 Ohm impedance across supported microwave and digital communication frequencies. Signal integrity depends on the quality of the solder joint and the mating cable rather than on any active circuitry. Installations requiring powered signal conditioning must look elsewhere.
The package supplies a single N-KFD-5 connector without a retail box or additional accessories such as cables, gaskets or mounting screws. The four-hole flange allows direct panel attachment once the installer provides suitable fasteners. Nickel plating on the copper body resists corrosion in indoor or sheltered outdoor deployments. Users must source coaxial cable, solder and tools separately to complete the connection.

No published specifications for this item yet.
Drill four holes matching the flange pattern, secure the nickel-plated body with screws, then solder the centre conductor and braid to the rear terminals — forgetting to tin the braid before soldering leaves a high-resistance joint.
The inner contact fingers and the PTFE insulator inside the female jack wear first; the nickel-plated brass body and flange remain serviceable.
The small 15.65 × 26.7 mm body has limited surface area, so sustained RF power above roughly 100 W causes noticeable temperature rise at the solder joints.
