Ultra-thin LED light panel scans 135 slides and negatives at 1800 x 3600 dpi with 36-bit colour depth
The Rybozen Ultra-Thin Portable Slide Scanner provides a 5 x 4 inch LED light panel for viewing 135 film negatives and slides. It suits photographers and archivists who need a compact, battery-powered light source for sorting or digitising film on location. The 36-bit colour depth and 1800 x 3600 dpi optical resolution of the accompanying scanner hardware capture fine detail for digital archives.
The viewing area measures 125 x 100 mm and holds roughly six 135 negative frames at once, so larger formats or bulk batches require multiple passes. Colour temperature is fixed at 5000k ±200k with a claimed 98% colour restoration, which cannot be adjusted for specialised calibration workflows. Power comes from six AAA cells or a 9V 1A adapter, and the panel draws minimal power without heating up.
The unit is 14 mm thick, 158 mm long, 150 mm wide and weighs 235 g, making it easy to carry in a camera bag. A simple toggle switch controls power and the DC input sits alongside the battery compartment for flexible power choices. The light-diffusing acrylic panel delivers even illumination with no hot spots, and the LED rated life exceeds 10000 hours for long-term reliability.

The 125 x 100 mm panel holds about six 135 negatives side by side so you can capture them in a single pass.
The CCD sensor captures up to 1800 x 3600 dpi, giving enough detail for high-quality enlargements of slides and film.
It runs on six AAA batteries or a 9 V 1 A adapter through the DC jack; the 5 V rail limits operation to low-power portable use.
