Connection type

The SATAGear eSATA-IL-1M is a 3 ft cable that joins an eSATA type I port to an internal SATA type L connector. It links external enclosures or docks to a motherboard or controller card. The shielded assembly meets SATA Gen 1 through Gen 3 electrical specifications for 150, 300 and 600 MB/s signalling.

Differential impedance

A 100 ohm differential impedance and 25 to 40 ohm common-mode impedance preserve signal integrity across the Gen 3 rate. The cable is rated for 1.5 A contact current at 30 V and passes a 500 V dielectric test. Insulation resistance exceeds 1000 Mohms.
