Clear Carton Tape for Packing Operations

This SHURTAPE HP 400 roll is a clear, standard-duty packaging tape built on a 40 micron biaxially oriented polypropylene cast film. It measures 48 mm wide by 50 m long and comes in a case of 36 rolls. The tape uses a rubber adhesive and is designed for hand application in general carton sealing tasks.

Case Quantity Supports High-Volume Workflows

The pack of 36 rolls reduces reorder frequency for shipping departments, fulfilment centres and busy mailrooms. Having a full case on hand keeps packing stations supplied during peak periods without interrupting workflow to fetch replacements.

Tensile Strength of 33 lb/in Sets the Load Limit

With a tensile strength of 33 lb/in and an adhesive strength of 54 oz/in, this tape is rated for standard-duty carton sealing. It will not hold heavy or overfilled boxes that exceed this threshold, so buyers needing higher burst resistance must select a heavy-duty grade instead.

Questions about this item

How long before the adhesive on this HP 400 tape degrades in storage?

The manufacturer lists a shelf life of 12 months for the rubber adhesive on this clear polypropylene film.

What tensile load causes the 2.5 mil film to fail during heavy sealing?

The tape is rated at 33 lb/in tensile strength, so that is the limit the film reaches first under sustained tension.

Does the rubber adhesive soften or lose grip when the warehouse hits 150 °F all day?

The tape is rated for continuous performance up to 150 °F, so the adhesive holds at that temperature.
