Interior folders for hanging files

These yellow interior folders are sized to fit inside standard hanging folders without covering their index tabs. Each folder uses 11 pt stock with a single-ply top tab that sits 1/2 inch high and stays hidden when the folder is returned to the drawer. The pack contains 100 folders in a single box.

Organising documents inside a hanging system

They suit anyone who needs to separate paperwork within a hanging folder while keeping the hanging folder tabs visible. Assorted 1/3 cut tab positions let several interior folders share one hanging folder. Buyers who want stand-alone folders that sit directly in a drawer or on a shelf should look at a different style.

Single-ply top tab height

The 1/2 inch tab height is the critical measure because it determines whether the tab stays clear of the hanging folder's own vinyl tabs. If the tab were taller it would interfere with the hanging folder indexing; if it were shorter it might be harder to grip.

Questions about this item

What does the 11 point stock mean once the folder is in a real file drawer?

The 11 point stock provides a sturdy single-ply feel that holds its shape inside a hanging folder while remaining thin enough to let the vinyl tabs on the hanger stay visible.

What interface or standard does the 1/3 cut top tab follow, and what does that cap in practice?

The 1/3 cut top tab uses a standard three-position layout so you can stagger multiple interior folders inside one hanging folder without the tabs overlapping.

What does the folder physically need to fit or mount in a hanging file?

It is sized for letter paper, has a 1/2" high tab that stays hidden under the hanger tab, a 3/4" scored expansion and rounded front and back corners so it slides in and out cleanly.
