1/3-Cut Letter File Folders

Smead 11986 SuperTab folders provide 100 letter-size folders per box with tabs that offer extra labeling space. The 11 pt. stock delivers reliable rigidity for everyday filing. The blue colour family supports simple colour-coding systems. They are suited for offices, schools or home offices that need high-volume document organisation.

Tab Area and Stock Constraints

The 1/3-cut tab design divides the folder edge into three tab positions, limiting the maximum label width for each position. The 11 pt. paper stock is not reinforced, so heavily loaded folders may sag over time. The product is made from wood sourced from a certified managed forest. No water-resistant or tear-resistant coating is specified.

Quick Setup and Common Issues

Folders arrive flat and require only a simple fold along the scored lines before use. The larger tab surface accepts handwritten or printed labels without special equipment. Misaligned folds can reduce tab visibility and cause uneven stacking in drawers. Overfilling beyond the crease capacity leads to premature edge wear.
