Reinforced-tab letter folders

Smead 12034 file folders are 11-point stock letter-size folders with 1/3-cut reinforced top tabs. They arrive in a 100-count box of blue folders. The two-ply tab construction adds strength at the most handled edge. This design helps reduce filing and retrieval time in daily office use.

Suits high-volume paper filing

These folders suit offices, schools and home offices that process large volumes of letter-size paperwork and want colour-coded organisation. The reinforced tabs withstand frequent handling and extend folder life. Buyers who need legal-size folders or different tab cuts should look at other options. Buyers who prefer hanging folders or digital-only workflows will not use this product.

11-point stock weight decides durability

The single specification that decides fit is the 11-point stock weight. It determines how well the folder resists tearing and stands up in a drawer. Match this stock weight to your filing cabinet and handling frequency. If your workflow demands heavier or lighter material, choose a different stock weight.

Questions about this item

What filing cabinet or drawer do I need to store these letter-size folders?

They are built for standard letter-size filing cabinets or drawers that accept 11-pt stock folders.

Will the 1/3-cut tab positions line up with the tabs on my older folders?

The tabs are cut in three staggered positions so they can align with most existing letter-size folder sets.

How can I confirm the tabs are reinforced as described?

Each tab is two-ply, making it visibly thicker and stiffer than a single-ply tab when you handle the folder.
