Pressboard classification folder for legal documents

This Smead 19034 folder is built for offices that organise legal-size paperwork in a single, expandable unit. The six-section layout uses two dividers to create distinct categories without needing multiple folders. It suits administrators, legal teams and anyone handling high-volume filing where documents must stay grouped and secure.

Pressboard construction handles daily handling

The 25 pt pressboard stock resists wear from frequent insertion and removal of pages. SafeSHIELD fasteners hold up to 2 inches of material while covering prong edges to prevent snags or injuries. The 2-inch expansion lets the folder grow with the case file, keeping contents flat and aligned during normal use.

Yellow colour aids quick visual sorting on the shelf

Right-of-center tab placement with a 2/5 cut fits standard legal hanging systems and drawer rails. Each box contains 10 folders, providing a consistent supply for ongoing projects. The recycled content supports procurement policies that prefer post-consumer materials without changing how the folder performs day to day.

Questions about this item

How do I install the SafeSHIELD fasteners and dividers in the 19034 folder, and what step is often missed?

Insert the fastener prongs through the pre-punched holes in the 25 pt. pressboard cover and both dividers, then bend the prongs flat against the back divider; the step often missed is securing all four prongs on both fasteners so the 2" expansion stays aligned.

What maintenance or replacement will the Smead 19034 folder need over time?

The SafeSHIELD coated fasteners resist corrosion, but if a prong bends or snaps from repeated 2" expansion use, replace the folder; the 25 pt. pressboard and dividers are not sold separately.

What limit appears first when the 19034 folder is used continuously at its 2" capacity?

The 25 pt. pressboard cover and divider hinges develop permanent creasing and lose rigidity before the SafeSHIELD fasteners fail, reducing the folder's ability to hold a full 2" stack upright.
