Expanding Poly Wallet for Letter Documents

The Smead 71500 is a letter-size expanding wallet made from heavy-duty poly material with sewn edges and rubberized gussets. It provides 5-1/4 inches of expansion capacity for bulky files. A full flap with elastic cord keeps contents secure during transport. Clear front pocket includes an index card insert for quick identification.

Suited for high-volume transport

This wallet fits top-tab folders without bulging and uses archival-quality, PVC-free, acid-free materials for long-term document preservation. Reinforced black webbing and rubber gussets withstand frequent handling and resist moisture. Buyers needing a compact non-expanding sleeve or a smaller expansion depth should consider other formats.

5-1/4 inch expansion capacity determines fit

The gusset expands to 5-1/4 inches, dictating how many folders or loose sheets the wallet can hold. This single measurement decides whether the wallet accommodates your specific filing volume. Verify your typical file thickness against this expansion limit before purchasing.

Questions about this item

Will the Smead 71500 expanding poly wallet hold my existing letter-size file folders without bulging?

The extra-wide design lets top-tab letter folders fit without bulging the side gusset, and the 5-1/4 inch expansion provides ample room for thick files.

How can I verify the Smead 71500 wallet is assembled correctly after I start using it?

Check that the rubberized gussets expand smoothly to the full 5-1/4 inch depth, the elastic cord secures the flap tightly, and the clear front pocket holds the index card insert flat.

Does the Smead 71500 package include the index card for the front pocket, or must I buy it separately?

The wallet ships with the clear front pocket and an index card insert already included; no separate purchase is needed for labelling.
