SMUGDESK 8K DisplayPort Fiber Optic Cable 66ft 20m

8K DisplayPort Fiber Optic Cable 66ft

The SMUGDESK DisplayPort 1.4 fiber optic cable spans 20 metres and carries up to 32.4 Gbps bandwidth. It supports 8K at 60 Hz and 4K at 144 Hz or 240 Hz, plus lower resolutions down to 1080p. The male-to-male connectors are 24 K gold plated and housed in zinc alloy shells. Hybrid glass-fiber and oxygen-free copper construction suits in-wall routing and long-distance PC-to-display links.

Sustained signal integrity over 20 metres

Optical fibers eliminate the signal attenuation that limits copper cables at this length, so 8K 60 Hz and 4K high-refresh streams remain stable during extended gaming or professional sessions. The cable meets DP 1.4 and HBR3 requirements with DSC 1.2 support, maintaining full 32.4 Gbps throughput without compression artefacts. Gold-plated contacts and a wear-resistant TPE jacket resist oxidation and physical stress, preserving performance across repeated thermal cycles.

Installation notes and common pitfalls

The slim hybrid cable bends more easily than bulk copper equivalents, easing pulls through conduit or tight cavities. Directional connectors are marked Source and Display; reversing them yields no image, so verify orientation before securing the run. Both the graphics card and monitor must natively support the target resolution and refresh rate, otherwise the link falls back to a lower mode. Dust caps should stay on until final connection to keep ferrule ends clean.
