Long-distance 8K DisplayPort cable

This 30-metre optical fibre cable carries DisplayPort 1.4 HBR3 signals at up to 32.4 Gbps. It supports 8K resolution at 60 Hz and 4K at 144 Hz over the full length without signal loss. Gold-plated connectors and a four-core fibre design ensure stable transmission for home theatre, gaming or workstation extensions.

Installers needing fixed in-wall runs

The cable is built for permanent installation where copper cables cannot reach the required distance. It is not suited for users who need a short, flexible patch lead for frequent reconnection or portable use. Buyers without 8K-capable source and display hardware will not benefit from the maximum resolution.

Directional plug orientation required

Each end is marked for source or display and must be connected exactly as labelled. Reversing the plugs will prevent the link from working, so verify the markings before routing the cable through walls or conduit.

Questions about this item

What length should I pick for a long in-wall run?

The cable is supplied at 30 m (100 ft) and the optical fibre design supports stable transmission up to 100 m without signal loss.

Will the 32.4 Gbps bandwidth deliver 8K at 60 Hz on my PC?

Yes — 32.4 Gbps is the full HBR3 rate, so 8K 7680×4320 at 60 Hz and 4K at 144 Hz are supported provided both source and display also support those modes.

Does the DP 1.4 HBR3 interface limit the maximum refresh rate at 4K?

No — DP 1.4 HBR3 carries 32.4 Gbps, allowing 4K resolution at up to 144 Hz as well as 8K at 60 Hz when the connected hardware permits.
