Black DisplayPort fiber optic cable with gold connectors, fifteen metres long

SMUGDESK

SMUGDESK 8K DP 1.4 Fiber Optic Cable 50Feet/15m

SKU CH-WK6H-ZMAWE

VESA-certified DisplayPort 1.4 fiber cable carries 8K at 60 Hz and 4K at 144 Hz over 15 m with 32.4 Gbps bandwidth

Cable Length 50 Feet

  • VESA-certified DP 1.4 fibre cable supports 8K 7680x4320 @60Hz
  • 4 Gbps HBR3 bandwidth with DSC 1.2 enables 4K @144Hz and 2K @240Hz
  • 24K gold-plated connectors and fibre construction resist interference for stable long-distance signal
  • 15 metre length connects PC or laptop to monitor, projector or VR headset
  • Backwards compatible with DP 1.3, 1.2 and 1.1 for wide device support

15-metre VESA-certified DisplayPort 1.4 cable

This 15-metre fibre-optic cable carries DisplayPort 1.4 signals at the full 32.4 Gbps HBR3 rate. It is aimed at PC builders and VR enthusiasts who need an 8K 60 Hz or 4K 144 Hz link across a room without signal loss. The cable is backwards compatible with DisplayPort 1.3, 1.2 and 1.1 devices.

Passive fibre construction

Optical fibres replace copper for the high-speed lanes, so the cable draws no external power and adds no active electronics that could generate heat or noise. The 24K gold-plated DisplayPort plugs resist oxidation and maintain a stable, low-resistance contact through repeated mating cycles.

15-metre reach for 8K 60 Hz and 4K 144 Hz

The single specification that decides suitability is the 15-metre length combined with full HBR3 bandwidth. Buyers who need a shorter run or who only require 4K 60 Hz can use a cheaper copper cable; this part exists for the long-distance, high-refresh scenario.

Questions about this item

How do I install the SMUGDESK 8K DP 1.4 Fiber Optic Cable and which direction must it face?

Connect the source end to your graphics card or laptop DisplayPort output and the display end to the monitor input; the cable is directional and only carries signal in one direction.

What maintenance or replacement will the SMUGDESK 8K DP 1.4 Fiber Optic Cable need over time?

No routine maintenance is required; the 24K gold-plated connectors resist corrosion and the fiber construction avoids copper degradation, so the cable lasts until physical damage occurs.

What limit appears first during sustained high-bandwidth use of the SMUGDESK 8K DP 1.4 Fiber Optic Cable?

The HBR3 bandwidth ceiling of 32.4 Gbps caps the maximum sustained throughput, defining the highest resolution and refresh rate combinations the cable can carry.
