33ft fibre DisplayPort 1.4 cable for 8K gaming

This 33ft SMUGDESK fibre DisplayPort 1.4 cable carries 32.4 Gbps bandwidth with HBR3 and DSC 1.2. It supports 8K at 60Hz, 4K at 144Hz and 1080p at 240Hz. VESA certification and HDCP 2.2 compliance suit high-refresh gaming monitors and VR headsets. Gold-plated connectors protect the internal chip for reliable signal integrity.

Sustained 8K and high-refresh output over distance

Fibre construction maintains the full 32.4 Gbps link without the attenuation that copper cables suffer at 33ft. Dynamic HDR metadata passes continuously, preserving shadow detail in long sessions. Backward compatibility with DisplayPort 1.3, 1.2 and 1.1 ensures the link stays stable even when the source or display negotiates a lower rate.

Directional plug-in with simple compatibility checks

The cable is directional; the source and display ends are marked and must be matched to the GPU and monitor respectively. Reversing the connectors is the most common reason for a blank screen. No external power is needed, but the host must supply standard DisplayPort power for the embedded transceiver. Verify your GPU and monitor both have full-size DisplayPort sockets before installation.

Questions about this item

Does the 33ft fibre cable need external power or active cooling when running an 8K 60Hz signal all day?

No, the optical link carries 32.4 Gbps without external power or fans, so it stays cool and silent during continuous use.

What DisplayPort source and sink devices must I already own to use this directional cable?

You need a DisplayPort 1.4 (or 1.3/1.2/1.1) output on your PC or laptop and a DisplayPort input on your monitor, projector or HDTV.

Will this DP 1.4 cable work with my older DP 1.2 monitor at 1440p 144Hz?

Yes, it is backwards compatible with DP 1.3, 1.2 and 1.1, so a 1440p 144Hz display will operate normally.
