Right-Angle USB4 Cable for Tight Ports

This 1.6FT SMUGDESK cable uses a 90-degree USB-C plug to fit against laptop sides or dock backs where straight connectors block adjacent ports. It carries USB4 Gen 3x2 signals up to 40Gbps and supports 240W Power Delivery 3.1 for phones, tablets, and large laptops. The braided jacket resists kinks during frequent connect-disconnect cycles.

40Gbps Bandwidth Decides Compatibility

Only hosts and peripherals that implement USB4 Gen 3x2 or Thunderbolt 4 can deliver the full 40Gbps rate; USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports top out at 20Gbps and USB 3.2 Gen 1 at 10Gbps. Video modes include single 8K@60Hz, 4K@120Hz, or dual 4K@60Hz when two cables are used. Power scales from 240W down to 60W automatically.

Simple Plug-In, Watch Cable Orientation

Reversible USB-C ends insert either way, but the right-angle moulding faces a fixed direction — route the tail toward free space before seating the plug. Forcing the bend backward stresses the internal wires and kills high-speed signalling. No driver install is required on Windows, macOS, Chrome OS, Linux, or Android.

Questions about this item

How much video bandwidth does the 40Gbps rating give me in practice?

The cable supports a single 8K display at 60Hz or dual 4K displays at 60Hz, with 4K at 120Hz also possible when the host and monitor allow it.

What does the USB4 Gen 3x2 label mean for the connector I plug into?

It delivers up to 40Gbps bi-directional data and full Thunderbolt 4 compatibility over the USB-C male-to-male connectors.

How much space does the 90-degree plug need behind my laptop or phone?

The right-angle USB-C heads sit flush against the device, so only the 1.6 ft braided cable body extends outward.
