Long-distance optical DisplayPort cable

This 100-foot optical-fibre DisplayPort 1.4 cable carries 8K video at 60 Hz and 4K at 144 Hz across distances that copper cables cannot reach. It is built for installers and enthusiasts who need a permanent in-wall link between a source and a display without signal loss.

Gold-plated connectors and four-core fibre

The cable uses 24 K gold-plated DisplayPort plugs and a four-core optical fibre core to deliver 32.4 Gbps bandwidth with plug-and-play simplicity. No external power or driver installation is required, so the link works immediately once both ends are seated correctly.

Directional design limits flexibility

Optical DisplayPort cables are directional; the source and display ends are fixed and must be connected the right way round. This makes the cable unsuitable for setups where the source and display positions change frequently or where the installer cannot guarantee the correct orientation during a pull-through.

Questions about this item

Will the optical fiber cores or gold-plated connectors need replacement over time?

The cable uses four optical fiber cores and 24K gold-plated connectors designed for stable long-distance transmission without signal loss.

What bandwidth ceiling limits sustained 8K or high-refresh 4K output?

The DisplayPort 1.4 link is rated at 32.4 Gbps, which caps continuous 8K at 60 Hz and 4K at 144 Hz.

Does the fiber construction run cooler or draw less power than copper on all-day runs?

Optical fiber transmits light instead of electrical current, so the cable generates negligible heat and requires no external power along its 100 ft length.
