M.2 NVMe to USB 3.1 Gen 2 Adapter

This adapter converts an M-Key NVMe SSD into a portable external drive via a USB Type-A port. It suits users who want fast access to internal solid-state storage without opening a computer case. The driver-free design works immediately on Windows, macOS and Linux.

10Gbps transfer speed with M-Key NVMe SSDs

The USB 3.1 Gen 2 interface delivers up to 10Gbps bandwidth for rapid file transfers and system booting. It accepts M-Key NVMe modules in 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280 form factors from major brands. Performance scales with the installed SSD; the bridge chip does not add overhead beyond the 10Gbps link limit.

Tool-free setup and broad OS support

A slim, lightweight PCBA enables plug-and-play operation with hot-swap capability for quick drive changes. No extra drivers or power adapters are required for 24/7 use. Compatibility covers Samsung 970/960 EVO/Pro, WD Black/SN series, Intel 600P/760P, Crucial P1/P2, Kingston A2000, ADATA SX8200Pro and Seagate BarraCuda drives.

Questions about this item

Will my existing M-Key NVMe SSD in 2230, 2242, 2260 or 2280 form factor work with this adapter?

Yes, the adapter accepts all four M-Key NVMe lengths and uses a tool-free design so you can install your drive without extra hardware.

How can I verify the 10Gbps USB 3.1 Gen 2 link is active after plugging it in?

Check the OS device manager or system profiler; it should list the bridge at 10Gbps, and real-world transfers will approach that ceiling with a fast NVMe drive.

What comes in the box and what must I supply myself?

The package contains the USB Type-A bridge card only; you provide the M-Key NVMe SSD and any USB-A cable if your port needs one.
