Green circuit board with ASM1083 chip, dual PCI slots, USB 3.0 cable

SMUGDESK

SMUGDESK NVMe/Mini PCIe/PCIe X1 to Dual PCI Riser Card ASM1083 USB3.0

SKU CH-CDGX-V6S1B

Converts NVMe, Mini PCIe or PCIe x1 slots into dual PCI interfaces using USB 3.0 and an ASM1083 chip for legacy expansion

  • ASM1083 controller chip ensures stable long-term performance
  • Converts NVMe, Mini PCIe or PCIe x1 to dual PCI slots
  • USB3.0 cable allows flexible chassis layout
  • High-efficiency circuit design reduces power loss and heat
  • Adds legacy PCI support to modern desktop motherboards

Slot Conversion

The SMUGDESK adapter uses an ASM1083 controller to convert an NVMe, Mini PCIe or PCIe x1 slot into dual PCI ports for legacy peripheral expansion. A USB 3.0 cable provides flexible routing inside the chassis.

Builder Fit

Suits builders adding older PCI cards to modern motherboards that lack native PCI slots. Not for users who need native PCIe bandwidth or who require power delivery specifications not provided in the data.

Controller Chip

The ASM1083 chip drives the conversion and maintains stable long-term operation. High-efficiency circuit design reduces power loss and heat generation during continuous use.

Questions about this item

Will the SMUGDESK ASM1083 riser let me keep using my existing PCI cards in a newer system?

The card converts an NVMe, Mini PCIe or PCIe x1 slot into dual PCI interfaces so legacy PCI peripherals can be connected to modern motherboards.

How can I verify the ASM1083 adapter is functioning correctly once installed?

The connected PCI devices should be recognised by the operating system and operate at USB3.0 speeds without errors.

What comes with the riser and what must I source separately?

The package includes the riser board with ASM1083 chip and a USB3.0 data cable; PCI cards and motherboard slot are not included.
