  • Adds a DB25 LPT port via PCI for legacy printers
  • Includes full-height and low-profile brackets for slim or standard cases
  • Onboard controller chip delivers stable data for receipt printers and CNC gear
  • Works with standard PCI slots on legacy desktop motherboards
  • Compatible with Windows XP, Win7, Win10 and Linux systems

Add DB25 parallel port via PCI

This SMUGDESK adapter adds one standard DB25 LPT parallel port through a single PCI slot, letting older printers and industrial equipment connect to a desktop computer. Both a full-height bracket and a low-profile bracket are included so the card fits slim chassis and standard cases alike.

Suits legacy hardware; not for modern ports

The card suits users who need to run dot-matrix printers, POS cash registers or CNC machines that still rely on a DB25 parallel interface. It does not help builders who require USB, serial or network connectivity instead.

Standard PCI slot required

Installation requires an available conventional PCI slot on the motherboard; the card will not fit PCI Express or other slot types. Compatibility covers Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 10 and Linux operating systems.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the full-height or low-profile bracket for my case?

The card includes both brackets; use the full-height one for standard desktop cases and the low-profile bracket for slim or small-form-factor chassis.

What parallel-port speed will I actually see with this PCI card?

The onboard controller delivers standard parallel throughput limited by the PCI bus, sufficient for legacy printers, POS registers and CNC gear.

Does the PCI interface limit the DB25 port in any way?

The card uses a conventional PCI slot, so the parallel port runs at the slot's native bandwidth without extra bottlenecks.
