Adds two DB9 RS232 COM ports via one PCIe slot using the AX99100 chip for industrial serial devices
This PCIe expansion card adds two independent DB9 RS232 COM ports to a desktop computer. It uses the AX99100 control chip to maintain stable serial communication over long periods. The standard bracket fits PCIe x1, x4, x8 or x16 slots on most motherboards. Drivers are provided for Windows and Linux operating systems.
The card is built for engineers connecting POS terminals, PLCs, detection instruments or serial debuggers that still rely on RS232 signalling. It is not intended for users who need USB, parallel or Ethernet interfaces, nor for laptops or small-form-factor systems lacking a full-height PCIe slot.
Each DB9 port presents a 16-byte transmit and receive FIFO managed by the AX99100 controller, supporting standard RS232 voltage levels and baud rates up to 232 Kbps. This hardware buffering is the specification that determines whether the card can sustain continuous data streams without overrun errors.
