SMUGDESK PCIe X4 USB 3.2 Gen2 Card 2×Type-C +3×USB-A 10Gbps ASM3142 VL822

SKU CH-PSXG-05CV7

A PCIe X4 expansion card adds two USB-C and three USB-A ports, each running at 10 Gbps with UASP acceleration for faster external SSD transfers

  • Adds five 10Gbps USB 3.2 ports via one PCIe X4 slot
  • Dual ASM3142 and VL822 chips keep multi-device transfers stable
  • Each port runs UASP for faster external SSD throughput
  • Standard bracket fits X4 X8 X16 slots in common chassis
  • Windows and Linux drivers enable quick plug-and-play setup

PCIe X4 10Gbps USB expansion

The SMUGDESK PCIe X4 card adds five USB 3.2 Gen2 ports to a desktop through a single expansion slot. Two Type-C and three Type-A connectors each deliver 10Gbps bandwidth. Combined ASM3142 and VL822 controller chips manage concurrent traffic across all ports.

Suits builders needing many fast ports.

This adapter suits builders who must connect several high-bandwidth peripherals such as external SSDs, docking stations or cameras at once. UASP support on every port improves storage transfer efficiency. Systems with only PCIe X1 slots or no free expansion slot cannot use this card.

Single PCIe X4 slot requirement

The card requires one physical PCIe X4 slot and fits X4, X8 or X16 motherboard connectors. A standard PCI bracket aligns with common chassis cut-outs. Windows and Linux drivers enable plug-and-play installation without extra software steps.

Questions about this item

Does the PCIe X4 slot limit the card to 10 Gbps total bandwidth across all ports?

The card uses an X4 link so every port can reach the rated 10 Gbps simultaneously, not a shared cap.

What bracket and slot sizes does the card require to fit in a desktop chassis?

A standard PCI bracket is included and the card works in X4, X8 or X16 motherboard slots.

How is the card installed and which step do users often miss?

Insert the card into an open X4 or wider slot, secure the bracket screw, then boot; Windows and Linux load drivers automatically with no extra software.
