2230 NVMe USB Converter

The SMUGDESK PH811S-AC converts an M.2 NVMe 2230 solid-state drive into a pocket-sized external drive. It targets users who want to reuse a spare 2230 SSD for portable storage or daily backup across multiple devices.

Sustained transfer behaviour

The enclosure uses a high-performance controller with UASP acceleration over a USB 3.2 Gen 2 10Gbps link. An optimised hollow shell provides passive heat dissipation to help avoid thermal throttling during long, high-speed file transfers.

Compatibility checklist

Verify your source drive is an M.2 NVMe PCIe 2230 M-key module; other lengths or key types will not fit. Ensure the host device offers a USB-A or USB-C port and runs Windows, macOS, Linux, or Android for driver-free operation.
